Welcome to Bannister Creek Primary School P&C Association
The P&C Association is a voluntary organisation that encourages parent participation and involvement in the school.
The primary function of the P&C is to raise funds for the School, supporting with beneficial community initiatives and subsidising events that benefit the students. It is also a forum for developing links between parents and teachers, providing information regarding what is happening during the school year.
The P&C also manages a Facebook page where you can find out what events are coming up and ways you can get involved. We encourage you to join the Facebook page.

Look out for P&C news in the school newsletter on Compass and come along to a P&C meeting. Join up as a member (bring $1) and we will introduce you to some great new friends!

P&C Membership
All members of the P&C are volunteers, apart from the Canteen Manager who is a paid employee of the P&C. The Principal is an ex-officio member and has a very important role providing guidance and support to the Committee. The annual membership fee is $1, paid when you join and you can join at any time of the year.
The financial year for the P&C runs from January to December and at the first meeting, the Annual General Meeting (AGM), we close business from the previous year, all positions are declared vacant and new office bearers are elected. The positions are; the President, the Vice-President, the Treasurer and the Secretary. Additionally, executive committee members also join to make up the core executive committee. Other roles that are available are on the sub-committees of the P&C. Our current sub-committees are the Canteen Sub-committee, the Fathering Project Sub-Committee, the Fundraising Sub-Committee, and the Year 6 Fundraising and Events Sub-Committee.
The P&C meetings are held twice a term, on Tuesdays during Weeks 2 and 6. These are held at 6pm in the School staff room, or online via Teams for current members. If you would like to attend the meeting via Teams, please submit your membership form and pay your $1 annual fee prior to the meeting you would like to attend.
All parents are welcome to get involved in our events, but you are not obliged to choose an official role or join a Sub-committee. You are welcome to just come along to meetings, make new friends, and learn how we achieve what we do. All ideas are welcome!

If you are interested in joining our P&C, please fill out the below form and drop it into the School office along with your $1 membership fee. Alternatively, complete the form and return to the email address provided above. You can also transfer your $1 membership directly into the P&C bank account (details on the attached form). Just use your name as reference. Finally, you can attend a meeting in person and sign up there. See you at a meeting soon!
